“ This place surprised us! We always thought they only had outdoor seating at the front (in the shade), but it appears you can also sit outside (in the sun) beyond the archway (and upstairs indoors, but we haven't been there yet). They are very dog friendly (Holly got a bowl of fresh water and a treat ). The food was good, and the staff very friendly and helpful. They even took the time to take our photo . Can recommend this place to anyone visiting Portsoy ”
“ Best meal we’ve had in 11 years of coming to visit the beautiful Banffshire coast. Food was delicious - all needs met - GF, vegetarian and fussy eaters left super happy! Amazing service and such a gorgeous atmosphere. A real gem and a joy in to visit. Very dog friendly too. ”
“ Fantastic visit to Portsoy harbour the infamous place that saw Michael Grey being bumped off by Peacky Blinder Toomy. There's a shrine there now. Visited Port House of Portsoy cafe awesome place plenty outside setting as well as inside. We had the Seafood Chowder, cappuccino, and a Coke the Chowder, which was obviously homemade and delicious. Brilliant layed back staff welcoming, friendly, helpful, and not overly attentive ........highly recommend. ”
“ Absoloutely loved this quirky wee place. Staff were super friendly and our sandwich was yummy, packed full of ingredients. The scones were small but one of the nicest tasting scones weve had. Pity we didn't live closer as we would be regulars for sure! ”
“ Absolute jewel of a place. Gareth, the owner, has a smile and twinkle in his eye that makes you feel as if you’ve just come home. The rooms are snug and cozy and the food is divine. The soup spoons are the best on the planet and I will forever be furious that my moral compass prevented me from nicking it from my plate. I wish I wasn’t an ocean away because I would be here every day with my dog having tea and soup on the sea. ”
“ Stayed for a week in Portsoy and visited the cafe many times. It was very welcoming, full of character, right on the harbour and invariably the food and coffee were excellent. The seafood chowder and brownies are exceptional. Dog friendly. Locally caught fresh fish available on the harbour and occasional pods of dolphins! ”
“ We had breakfast here on Sunday, and it was a fabulous little place, and it's dog friendly. We had the candied bacon roll, and it was delicious. Coffee was lovely, too. Didn't have room for a cake but regretted my decision after as they looked fab. Can get busy but worth the wait. ”
“ Oh wow!! Cold rainy day but that was soon forgotten on entry. Warm, cosy, friendly atmosphere. Greeted with such a warm welcome. Sat in front of the fire on a comfy sofa. Service was excellent. Accommodated our needs. Food delicious. Drinks gorgeous. Could not fault this little place. 5 stars and highly recommend x ”
